These are ideally suited to any company not yet ready to invest in a complete in-house operation, or an existing service provider that has outgrown its existing system. Our services include:

Application software hosting
Intec Telecom Systems will provide a complete ASP-based customer care and billing application package for you. All you need to supply are the client PCs, an Internet connection to our site, and the operators to input your data. There is no need to worry about choosing and installing a billing system, or if the server you purchase will handle your anticipated growth, or whether you have the staff skills to maintain a complex technical environment. We take care of everything - seamlessly.

Database hosting
The secure management of a complex database, such as that in a customer care and billing system, requires an expert, full-time administrator with extensive training in database systems and application software maintenance. Intec Telecom Systems has a team of experienced database administration professionals that will free your valuable staff to provide services to your customers and your business.

System administration
An Intec Telecom Systems professional team can provide all system administration functions, including backup and disaster recovery. Your data is protected from destruction by natural or electronic disasters because we maintain duplicate data sites in separate offices.

Retail billing service
Intec Telecom Systems offers the expertise and the facilities to process, calculate and print your subscriber bills. As our client, you take an active role throughout the process. At each step, we send you editing and balancing reports so you can check the data for accuracy, and we supply you with an electronic copy of the final bills for your approval.

Beginning with the call data from your switch, we provide the following services:

  • Message conversion. This process converts multiple types of call records (CDR, AMA switch data) into industry-standard Exchange Message Interface (EMI) format so that the calls can be rated in accordance with each customer's rating plan.
  • Rating. This stage determines the initial cost of each call, taking into account the call's origin and termination (where and when), whether it was an interlata or intralata call, and numerous other variables.
  • Toll processing. Our process now uses the rated call records to analyze and apply subscriber calling plan discounts, volume discounts, or re-rate plans to subscriber charges.
  • Bill calculation. Once the final charges have been determined, we calculate the service charges and combine those with the toll charges and applicable taxes for billing totals. Then we send electronic copies of the bills to you for approval.

Billing fulfillment
Once you have approved the reports, we can produce the bills in their final format, print them and mail them to your customers. Or we can provide them in electronic format for final processing by another billing fulfillment company.

Inter-carrier billing service
Our CABS experts use Intec Telecom Systems' advanced InterconnecT CABS software to process carrier access data for clients. Our CABS service includes two types of bills:

  • Switched bills, which bill minutes of use for calls that go through your switch
  • Facility bills for special circuits

In addition to printing and mailing your bills, we can provide you with several types of reports. These include:

  • Aged trial balance reports
  • Transaction reports that supply data for your accounting department
  • Monthly reports of billed minutes, messages, and revenue
  • Special reports customized to your requirements
  • Trending reports of minutes or revenue on request

Initially, we work closely with you to set up your database. You provide us with necessary information such as the states where you operate (our bills are issued on a state-by-state basis), your wire centers, your rates, the routes of your traffic, etc.

Once your account is set up, the rest of the process falls into an efficient routine. Each month, via transmission, tape or electronic media, you send us your EMI data for switched billing, payments, rate changes and facility changes. We process the data for you and calculate the bills.

After verification for accuracy, we can print the bills and mail them, or ship them to you for mailing.
